Two weeks ago, (April 15) gay rights group Truth Wins Out' from San Francisco, California, led by Michael Petrelis, Wayne Besen and Jim Burro way staged a "Rum Dump" at Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street in the West Village encouraging the owners to dump their stock of Jamaica's Red Stripe Beer and Myers Rum in the sewer in the hopes that other bar owners would follow suit.Many Jamaicans outraged by the group's actions have gone public with their criticism pointing to the "ruin dump" and calls to boycott Jamaica and its products as "disingenuous."
