Hopeton Lewis, Story of a Jamaican Legend

Summary

His ambition, zest for life and his love for music, inspired him to form his own group "The Regals." Hopeton did his first recording "Shammy Back" at Studio One on the same night that Bob Marley recorded his hit song "Lonesome Feelings" and another great Jamaican, Joe Higgs recorded "There's a Reward" - all were backed by the Mighty Vikings Band.

With his versatility and rich baritone voice, embodied in a charismatic and soulful presentation, Mr. Lewis has now returned to his first love "Gospel Music." He continues to spread the word extensively throughout North America, the Caribbean and Europe, delivering the message "One Love, God's Love." He is now known as "The New Voice In Gospel." In 1996, he released his debut gospel CD, "This is Gospel." He has since released other gospel CDs namely: Reaching Out To Jesus, Lay Your Hands On Me Jesus, Caribbean Gospel Jubilee, Inner Peace, Hopeton Lewis sings Country Gospel, Many Moods Of Gospel, A Holy Christmas, The Inspirational Hopeton Lewis, Hymns and All Island Gospel Revival.
