The afternoon consisted of a distinguished panel of guest speakers including Robert Kasdin, Senior Vice President, Columbia University; Kenneth J. Knuckles, President/CEO of the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone; Darwin Davis, President, New York Urban League; Jeff Burns, Associate Publisher, Ebony Magazine/Sr. Vice President, Johnson Publishing; Mark Willis, Executive Vice President, JPMorgan Chase; Louis Katsos, President, Jekmar Associates, Incorporated; Karl Rodney, Publisher/CEO New York Carib News; with a keynote address by Dr. Gregory Williams, President, City College of New York. The event showed the growing effect that Harlem has on New York City's economy and its projected effect on the city in the years to come. The plans outlined were many, and in some ways a huge undertaking but everyone who spoke was optimistic that success will crown their efforts.
