Acting Chief of Police Keith Forde cited the accomplishments of Harriet Tubman and Mary Ann Shad in the quest for freedom. He hoped their altruism would never be forgot- ; ten and urged society to learn from the accomplishments of ··_ "these brave souls". Forde implored Africans everywhere not to allow their courage and selfless acts to fade into obscurity.
