Summary
Mr. Seaga himself in the fulsome parliamentary tribute to his decades of service did make the point that the 'haves and have-nots' label he himself had coined so long ago could still be justified. He said he accepted some of the blame for what was only marginal improvement in the status of the 'have-nots' over the years. It seems to us, therefore, that the new leadership of the JLP must have fresh vision in helping to tackle what are still formidable problems facing the nation.
